Most of us do not consider daily activities when thinking about calories burned during the day. For example, I spent 2 hours this morning cutting trees, raking up leaves, etc in the yard and according to a calculator which I can enter my weight, it calculated that I burned approximately 778 calories. Of course this may not be 100% accurate, but it is a good guide and reminder that our activities we do everyday contributes to calorie expenditures each day.
Many people think that the only way we burn calories is by running, walking, weight lifting, etc. but forget to take into account all the other things we do throughout the day which are burning calories.
I found a calculator where you can enter your weight and time you spent on an activity and it will give you the approximate calories that you have burned. Check it out at:
