But trying to overhaul my entire life all at once left me frustrated and stuck in a cycle of burnout and self-sabotage. I kept asking myself, “Why can’t I get this right?”
That’s when I realized I needed a different approach. Instead of aiming for perfection, I focused on mastering one habit at a time. Starting small—like improving hydration or creating a consistent workout routine—helped me build confidence and momentum. Each success made the next step easier, and over time, those small changes added up to lasting transformation.
The 90-Day Jumpstart Challenge: A Step-by-Step Approach
The 90-Day Jumpstart in 2025 Challenge is designed to help you start with one thing and gradually ramp up your habits and actions. This approach will keep you motivated and excited about your goals because you will be successful right out of the gate. At Z Physique, we help our clients reach and exceed their goals with a proven plan and process, providing education, accountability, motivation, and support.
Setting Your Big Result Goal
First, you’ll set a “big result” you will achieve by the end of this challenge. Maybe you want to change your body composition, hit a new PR in your workouts, or improve your blood test results. Whatever that “big result” is, it should be something that has real meaning for you and something you’re doing for yourself.
Month 1: Focus on Fitness
In the first month, you’ll set a fitness goal and build the habits and skills to support it. Working out makes everything else better. Exercise helps you build energy, get stronger, have more stamina, move better, and it lifts your mood. Plus, it helps you manage your weight, balance your blood sugar, fight chronic disease, and sleep better.
Your job is to create a regular workout routine you know you can stick with and try to be more active in general during the day. Set 1-3 realistic fitness goals to complete the minimum amount you need to get results. As it gets easier, you can expand your fitness goals.
Month 2: Focus on Nutrition
In the second month, you’ll set a nutrition goal while continuing to work on your fitness goal. Proper nutrition is like giving your body premium fuel. The fuel you put into your body affects everything—your energy, your mood, your workout performance, your digestion, and even how well you sleep.
Set goals you know you can meet that prioritize whole foods (lean proteins, veggies, fruits, and healthy fats) and avoid overly processed food. Set 2-3 nutrition goals that are simple enough to stick with even on your busiest days.
Month 3: Focus on Lifestyle Upgrades
In the third month, you’ll focus on improving your quality of sleep and finding healthy ways to manage stress. Your fitness and nutrition efforts can only take you so far if your lifestyle isn’t supporting your goals. Getting enough sleep and managing stress plays a major role in your workout recovery, energy, mood, hormone balance, mental focus, and even your appetite.
Set 1-3 goals to help you manage stress and/or sleep better. Find actions that can help boost your sleep and/or promote relaxation, recovery, and resilience, setting you up for long-term success.
